All you need to know about Wi-Fi technology, security and the uses of wireless broadband :

What is Wi-Fi ?
Hotspot : Highly frequented public place with clear boundaries (café, hotel, station, airport, etc...) offering mobile-terminal users (laptops, PDAs for example) access to a wireless network so they can connect easily to Internet.

Wi-Fi :
We offer Free Wireless LAN for your highspeed internet connection (18 Mega). If your PDA or Laptop supports Wireless LAN (Standard 802.11b or 802.11g), you can use our Free HotSpot in the hotel area or in your room.

What does the term Wi-Fi mean ?
Wi-Fi is an English play on words, applying the term Hi-Fi (High-Fidelity) to wireless networks (Wireless Fidelity).

How far can Wi-Fi carry ?
Wi-Fi radio coverage indoors can cross reinforced concrete walls or floors (3 floors maximum) but its capacity is reduced under such conditions down to 1Mbps before the signal is lost, and the range can be as low as 15 metres. In a dense interior environment (where there are large obstacles) a range of 25 metres is generally possible, but if there are just thin partitions to cross, the range is usually 60 metres.

Who is Wi-Fi for ?
Anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled laptop who wants to browse the Internet or read emails using a broadband wireless connection.

What are the benefits of Wi-Fi ?
Professionals can work comfortably on Internet (email, Intranet access, information research). Owners of venues which become hotspots find that this state-of-the-art service keeps existing customers loyal and attracts new customers.

What is Wi-Fi used for ?
Searching for information on Internet, emailing, connecting to your Intranet in a calm and relaxed environment and, most importantly, in total comfort.
